// What we're all about

We’re on A mission

We are building a Louisiana where joy, justice, and equity shape every institution and opportunity. Through voter engagement, organizing, advocacy, and political education, we strengthen community power and forge cross-sector partnerships to create a healthy, sustainable, and secure future for all.

// A movement for change

Together, we’re strengthening community power across Louisiana

From rural parishes to urban centers, we’re uniting people and organizations to shape a more just, equitable, and thriving Louisiana. Through collaboration, education, and action, we’re transforming collective energy into lasting impact for generations to come.

// OUR VISION

We envision a future in which joy, justice, and equity guide Louisiana’s institutions and opportunities.

In this future, every Louisianan—no matter their race, background, or zip code—has access to the resources and respect they deserve. Our communities thrive, our voices are heard, and our systems reflect care, accountability, and a shared commitment to collective well-being.

// OUR GOALS

Achieving the vision

We work to create a Louisiana where every person can thrive—free from oppression, exploitation, and state violence. Our vision is built on community power, shared prosperity, and the belief that lasting change comes from the people most impacted leading the way.

  • How we do it

    We confront economic, political, and social systems that devalue our communities. By organizing across parishes, we fight to dismantle policies that prioritize profit and punishment over people—building structures grounded in dignity, justice, and care.

  • How we do it

    We stand against attacks on our rights, our environment, and our democracy. True safety comes from stable housing, good jobs, quality education, and care—not criminalization or control—so we work to secure these foundations for every Louisianan.

  • How we do it

    We’re reimagining a state that invests in healing and opportunity instead of punishment. Through advocacy and reinvestment, we push for policies that end the criminalization of poverty and mental health while channeling resources back into families and communities.

// OUR PROGRESS

Our impact so far

We built a powerful, statewide movement that holds politicians accountable and protects Louisiana families. By defeating harmful constitutional amendments, we’ve safeguarded education, strengthened democracy, and ensured that our communities—not political insiders—shape the future of our state.

// 2026: Blocked amendment 1

Kept Politics Out of Public Jobs

This amendment would have given lawmakers more control over which state jobs are protected, weakening civil service protections designed to prevent political interference and protect fairness in hiring and job security.

// 2026: Stopped Amendment 2

Protected Public School Funding

This amendment would have created a separate school system in St. George, pulling resources away from the rest of the parish and deepening inequalities in public education.

// 2026: Defeated Amendment 3

Protected Long-Term Education Funding

This amendment would have funded educator pay raises by eliminating long-standing education funds that schools rely on for programs, resources, and long-term investments.

// 2026: Beat Amendment 4

Stood Up for Community Resources

This amendment would have allowed parishes to reduce or eliminate taxes on business inventory, risking major funding losses for schools, infrastructure, and local services once temporary state backfills ran out.

// 2026: Blocked amendment 5

Protected Opportunities for Fair Representation

This amendment would have raised the retirement age for judges, slowing turnover on the bench and reducing opportunities to elect new judges and expand representation in Louisiana’s courts.

// 2025: Blocked amendment 1

Blocked special “can’t-lose” courts for politicians & their friends.

This amendment would have created a two-tiered justice system—one for the powerful and one for the rest of us. By defeating it, voters stood up for fairness, accountability, and equal justice under the law.

// 2025: Stopped Amendment 2

Prevented a tax-code with deceptive language that guts education & transportation funding

We exposed the misleading language that would have drained resources from schools, roads, and working families. Our collective action protected essential public services and kept taxpayer dollars where they belong—serving the people.

// 2025: Beat Amendment 3

Beat the amendment that would put more children in adult prison

This victory was a resounding statement that Louisiana believes in rehabilitation, not punishment, for our youth. Communities across the state rejected fear tactics and chose a vision of care, safety, and second chances.

// 2025: Blocked amendment 4

Put a stop to cherry-picking judges in low-turnout elections

Amendment 4 would have allowed political insiders to manipulate the courts and consolidate their power in quiet elections. By stopping it, we protected the integrity of Louisiana’s judicial system and the people’s voice in choosing fair judges.
